On top of that, renowned Hans Zimmer’s produced soundtrack has become a bit of a fan-favourite by “play it while doing literally anything” on its own. And the popularity isn’t just race and the music, the movie grossed about $631.7M worldwide, making it a major Apple Studios theatrical win and even the highest-grossing film of Brad Pitt’s career, beating World War Z.

Cruise doesn’t just “do stunts” in the usual marketing way, one of the signature set pieces has him hanging off a biplane and transferring midair, and he also set a Guinness World Record during production for the most burning parachute jumps by an individual (16), which is as peak Mission: Impossible as it gets.
